BRIO — Head of Staff (2020 – PRESENT)
I lead day-to-day oversight of BRIO’s team and operations. As a strategist, consultant, and implementer, I ensure streamlined activities within the company. I oversee strategic business initiatives from start to finish, improving processes and implementing special projects that address and close gaps in services, skills, efficiency, and productivity. I serve as a liaison between staff, leaders, founders, vendors, and contractors, developing key relationships and contributing to decision-making, program management, and initiative implementation based on BRIO’s company culture and climate.
BRIO — Director of Web & User Experience Design (2016 – 2020)
I led businesses and their teams through the process of envisioning, designing, and building websites and web apps. As their go-to technical consultant, I learned their processes, systems, users, and audiences so that I could recommend strategies to increase their bottom line, set tangible goals, and define metrics to track their success.
BRIO — Director of Operations (2014 – 2016)
As BRIO grew from 6 – 16 team members within the span of 12 months, I joined the leadership team and managed the growth by putting tools, repeatable processes, and metrics in place. I used Harvest to set and monitor project budgets, track billable time, and send invoices. Implementing Forecast made it possible to allocate people to projects, showing when new projects could start and when we needed to hire based on work booked. The series of document templates, spreadsheets, and reports I developed helped create consistent estimates, proposals, and so much more.
BRIO — Project Manager (2012 – 2014)
I managed more than 20 .NET software and web development projects, leading teams through the software development lifecycle by working with project stakeholders to define requirements and BRIO’s developers to design, build, test, and launch the application or website.
Ark Ideas — Project Manager (2011 – 2012)
I managed the development of 2 web and mobile apps designed for cellular sales reps and supported their users. I also supported business development by writing content for emails, blogs, proposals, and more.
Focus Pointe Global — Manager of Marketing Services (2011)
I rebuilt a static website on a content management system, giving marketing control of content and increasing database registrations by 40%. I transformed the way the Focus Pointe recruited focus group participants online by using Google, Facebook, and LinkedIn campaigns, and by incorporating grassroots, niche, and classified channels for an additional boost in sign ups. I also wrote articles for industry publications like QRCA Views and Alert! Magazine.
Empowerment Group — Marketing & Design Specialist (2008 – 2011)
I rebranded the nonprofit, launched a new website, and ran a multi-year citywide ad campaign for local entrepreneurs. With a more modern brand, I used email marketing, social media, and blogging to grow event and course registrations by more than 25% and attract more than 800 web registrations; more than 1,400 Twitter followers; and more than 200 Facebook fans in 1 year.
Empowerment Group — Grant Writer, AmeriCorps (2007 – 2008)
I raised more than $180,000 in 12 months. By writing a 150 page Master Grant Document answering the most common RFP questions, I increased the capacity of the development department, enabling them to spend more time engaging in fundraising initiatives and less time writing proposals.
